Google talk is the new IM on the block made by google for gmail users only atm

Its an awesome service that has an installer file thats only 900 kb. It doesnt have emotes but the main point of it is that its for audio chats and it excels

I used to use yahoo’s audio chat which is good but now i have to say that google > yahoo cause if i browse thru sites the voice cuts of in the middle but in gtalk (short for google talk … I came up with it … its nothing official :tongue:) the voice only fades a bit.

Its got an awesome invite system that reads your contacts list in your gmail inbox and uses it for quick contact adding

Its custom status thingy is pretty neat too

It also checks your inbox for emails and displays a short preview of the sender, the actual email and other such stuff
