Ok this week was really a lot. I missed the whole day of college on monday as it was raining too hard to go anywhere. Tuesday onwards it was really stressful as i had assignments and stuff to do. I did my 30 page assignments the day the teacher gave us the assignments. There were a few incorrect questions and i had to go from my 3rd floor class all the way to the ground floor mechanical department all the way accross campus
Anyways on thursday i forgot to bring the journal to college and i had to submit it at 12 o clock so i missed the 1st 2 hours of college and came back home to get it Anyways i got an A+ in that assignment and experiment
And well thursday evening my brother told me at 3.45 pm that he was taking a flight and coming home at 9.30 w00t \o/
His flight was a bit delayed but hes here … tho i didnt get to study anything yesterday … i have tomorow off so i can study everything. He was gonna bring a new cell for me. My choice was an n-gage qd but it was out of production there so he we are (i think) gonna exchange cells cause he got a new 256mb memory card its lying here So i can listen to MP3s in the train

And by the way since i am the guy who scored the most marks in 12th grade (by about 6 % :-/) i am the CR (Class Representative)

It was surprising to see that only 10 people from the 2 batches submitted the application of whom only 5 guys (including me) and 1 gal made it :/
Anyways my name was quite in front and i got my prize. I got a second prize for my 92 in Mathematics and to my surprise i got another second prize for my 95 in Physics. I thought that i would have gotten a 1st prize. The sad part is that the min reqd marks for 1st prize this year was 96. The prize was a gold plated timex watch and i am gutted to miss the mark by 1 mark
Anyways i decided to stay and it payed off as “The great Indian laughter challenge”’s Navin Prabhakar was in the house My god the dude is funny. He lit up the entire room. I decided at the last moment not to take my cyber shot, a move i regret now cause its 256 mb memory stick duo could have easily saved the entire 20 min laughing spree I still have most of it recorded on my cell phone. The quality aint that good but still
After a few more prizes were given away there was a magic show where a blade is passed through a girls neck and nothing happens. He asked for a “lovely courageous lady” and people started thinking and i was shouting, call a “god damn boy and i’ll come” Finally the gal behind me nominated herself. After the trick i didnt get a chance to talk to her tho for the last trick the magician wanted a few voulenteers to check out a wooden box and i was up on stage in a flash.
He told me and the other 3 guys with me to check the box.
The basic trick was that a lady would be put in a black bag, tied by us, put in the wooden crate and the crate could be covered by a huge white bag tied by us. I stood and stage and watched the show. When the trick was done and we congratulated the magician i told him “I know how you did it” and he replied “you cant see it from where you were standing” and i replied “i know but i already knew it and hence i checked the way the lady got out of the box and you ended up in it. I have 5 words for you. ‘Magics greatest secrets finally revealed‘” and the magician was shocked
I came down from the stage and met a teacher who congratulated me on my marks. We talked and before i left i said “Sir, do you know how this trick was performed ??”

Ok by know its a old deal but i topped my college in physics with 95 marks and i got 92 in maths (damn … where are my 6 marks :sad:) Also i got 84 in my chemistry and thus my PCM total is 90.33%
For this reason i am being invited and well its about time. They have really kept it late this year and when i cleared my 10th grade it was earlier Its ok tho I will have to miss 4 lectures in my college and worst of all a CP lecture

Oh well, i guess it is worth it when i get to goto a party to meet all my friends and get a a medal and a certificate (mabbe a prize for college topper in 1 subject ?? :O)
I hope all my friends are there … i know some of them are. And i met one of my old class friends. They are comming too .. w00t

I wonder if i should take my cybershot to take some pics or will it just feel odd in a felicitation party I think i will not take it tho i want some pics of my friends when we meet for the last time

Ok this is what happened in my 1st week. I know i got up late today so here is my review of week one (tho its 12.09 am and i have to wake up at 5 am …. im used to it so a 15 min review aint gonna hurt no one :P)

* I met a few new people and it has been good. The college infrastructure is good and has 12 comp labs (good for IT students like me (A)) tho the students arent the best. There is a distinct “bad” section of the crowd tho i have managed to find a few decent guys and by a few i mean 2 :/ But i guess thats enough for my 1st sem.

* My college + classes combination is good tho it leaves me tired sometime as i work 18 or so hours a day and get hardly any rest apart from the 5 hrs of sleep.

* My CP lectures have been free so far tho the Class advisor (like class teacher … the same person who’s gonna be our CP teacher) is comming back tomorow. Let the games begin

* I recieved my invitation to my classes felicitation just yesterday and id love to go there tho i will have to bunk 4 lectures from college. Why isnt it on a sunday

* I was so tired that i slept 9 hours last nite and an additional 2 in the afternoon

* I also met one of my friends from my class and it was glad to know she was comming too

* A lot of studies.

* No tv at all

* A little pc time on thursday. 4 hours doing C programming and 2 on the net.

Thats around about it i guess. And yeah … i think i forgot lack of sleep *-). One more post before i sleep

Thank god the week ends are here. I have been having 19 - 20 hour days for the past 6 days straight with about 14 - 15 of them spent studying
So this week has been hectic. I wanna write about all that i have done but its late at nite and i wanna sleep for once
More tomorow. I wish to do some BEE and Mech and i wish to update my site
And yeah i have to get a few more text books and all tomorw. Btw … i bought a new bag in the week …. awesome dark blue … more week 1 review tomorow

FE here i come. Finally my college begins tomorow a week later than the university prescribed dates.
I can finally fulfil my dream and get a degree in a techincal line. For those of you who dont know im about to do BE in IT ie a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology.
The Sem 1 university result is between 23 - 42 % Last year it was 43 % so i wish to not only clear all the subjects in my 1st attempt but also to get very good marks so that i can finally live up to the “potential” that everyone here believes i have. I have already started my studies a month ago as you might know in my posts. I have taken a head start which is necessary as the colleges dont teach everything so you need to study by yourself to excel.

My timings are 9am to 4pm mondays to saturdays. On tuesdays i have 1 less lecture and i have 2 lectures off on saturdays. I have a break everyday from 11am to 12 noon. The 1st lecture is EM (Engineering Mechanics or Mech) which is the most dreaded subject. Thank god i have a head start

BEE is another one of my 1st year engineering subjects … (BEEE = Basics in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. But its abbrevated as BEE and not as BEEE :P)
The professor is quite good and the class was fun and not too tough (so far ;)) The 1st thing that sir asked was whats the difference between Voltage and Potential Difference … and since i was on the 1st bench … it was obligatory to answer
I did and ever since then the professor looked at me for answering (throughout the lecture)
He assumed that like all the students my college had also begun (and unlike most others i had begun my studies) but that wasnt the case cause i already knew the answer tho my college hadnt begun

Just one last thing …. guess who was the person who entered the class and sat on the last bench …
*breath away* (Btw, you would only understand this if a) I have told you about it. b) You were with me in Mech classes. c) You came with us during the daily hike up the mountain ;))

(Sorry to Harry cause i didnt tell you about this before … you were away and it slipped my mind And FYI only there is only 1 person in the 1st category, 4 in the 2nd category and 3 in the third

I went to my college today and finally i took a look around at my campus. Its not such a bad college even tho almost every one of my friends ended up in better places (even tho only 3 of them had scored more than me :dodgy:) …. well dont ask

It was cool and i even saw a poster for technovanza, the techno fest at vjti (the best college ;))
Too bad i cant go to their lan gamming competition cause my college begins the same day and the gamming part is at around 11 am So ill have to miss my college which i wont

And yeah just a few more things ….

Yup the classes are done. Now its time to study and finish the portions. I would say … till the 20th ??? So i have taken a holiday today.

And btw … Manoj got into VJTI (top college in the state) into IT (Information Technology). Congrats to him

I was briefly there. On paper …. it is aweful but it seems to be a better college. Its ok i guess i can do IT there.
But thfh i can get a better college (KJ Somaiya … much better ^ infinity; 3rd best institute in the state tbh) but in the vacancy round but i have given up hope due to some personal reasons that only 2 people know at the moment (and another will find out soon; many ppl are asking why but i aint telling no one).
