Ok this week was really a lot. I missed the whole day of college on monday as it was raining too hard to go anywhere. Tuesday onwards it was really stressful as i had assignments and stuff to do. I did my 30 page assignments the day the teacher gave us the assignments. There were a few incorrect questions and i had to go from my 3rd floor class all the way to the ground floor mechanical department all the way accross campus
Anyways on thursday i forgot to bring the journal to college and i had to submit it at 12 o clock so i missed the 1st 2 hours of college and came back home to get it Anyways i got an A+ in that assignment and experiment
And well thursday evening my brother told me at 3.45 pm that he was taking a flight and coming home at 9.30 w00t \o/
His flight was a bit delayed but hes here … tho i didnt get to study anything yesterday … i have tomorow off so i can study everything. He was gonna bring a new cell for me. My choice was an n-gage qd but it was out of production there so he we are (i think) gonna exchange cells cause he got a new 256mb memory card its lying here So i can listen to MP3s in the train

And by the way since i am the guy who scored the most marks in 12th grade (by about 6 % :-/) i am the CR (Class Representative)

Yeah this is my flood log. Read it and be amazed at the happeinings in the past 4 days.
26th July, 2.00 pm: Rains began. My dad comes back 2 mins later from work and he is soked. We feel that its just another rain.
26th July, 4.00 pm: Power cuts off. Im pissed cause i was studying. We know this is serious cause we never have a power cut and if we do, most of the city does and if my neighbouring colony does then there is no power in the city cause they distribute the cities power.
26th July, 7.00 pm: I get a call from my classes that lectures have been postponed.
26th July, 10.30 pm: We goto sleep without electricity.
27th July, 7.00 am: The electricity is back. Thank god.
27th July, 8.30 am: I wake up to realise we still dont have any cable on tv and our internet is down.
27th July, 11.00 am: Rain stops. 22 Hours or continous rain.
A new record with 668 mm in 12 hours which beat the previous 1974 record of 375 mm in 24 hours
27th July, 6.30 pm: My dad has to goto visit my grandmother to tell her that my aunt (fathers sister) has reached a relatives place cause my grandma’s phone is down. My aunt left her office at 5.00 pm on the 26th and reached my relative’s place at 2.00 pm the next day even though the distance is about 10 kms. The roads are totally blocked.
27th July, 7.30 pm: I goto meet my friends. They are all ok. None of their houses was flooded. (Mine wasnt as i am on higher ground. Our whole colony is slightly inclined so Phew)
27th July, 8.30 pm: I’m at a friends place who lives down the road from my place. The wall behind his bunglow is broken due to water flooding. The water flooded the neighbouring colony, broke the wall down, the water came into his house, flooded the ground floor to about knee height for 3 mins then the wall behind his house broke and the water went into the drainage pipes further down the road.
27th July, 9.15 pm: My dad’s back.
28th July, 8.30 am: I wake up. The tv is back again but still no internet.
28th July, 6.30 pm: The electricity in 3/4th of our colony is gone. I dont have electricity while the building to my left does ¬_¬
29th July, 1.19 am: The electricity is back. I was sleeping by putting my bed near the window. The electricity came and i woke up
29th July, 1.24 am: Its raining again. I just close the window and goto sleep.
29th July, 8.30 am: Thank god for news paper I find out the news.
29th July, 930 am: Tv is back. I see the news.
29th July, 12.00 noon: My internet connection is back. Phew. And im here to report this.

Over 300 people are dead in the city. And over a 1000 in the state. I have seen with my own eyes traffic jams that were as long as 15 kms. But the opposite site of traffic (on the other side of the divider … no traffic at all)
My friends and cousins who were out of their houses walked in the rain 20 kms to reach their homes. While others preferred to stay at their friends place. Today is the 1st day that everyone’s cell phones are working (mine was …. my land line was too thank god :D) cause of all the air traffic. The planes began yesterday at around 5.30 pm.

Today at this time of grief I ask all the people to hold hands and stand high. In such times of peril have i seen gread deeds of honour and courage. I have seen selfless people risk their lives to save others. I have see people making food in their homes and giving it to the people stuck in traffic so that they wouldnt starve cause no shop has any supplies left. (Well today the shops will have stocks again, dont worry ;))

In the AIEEE quota (All India Engineering Enterance Exam) (Students who have apperred get 15% seats for them … its a nation wide reservation and im applicable) i have got admission to Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Khargar into IT.
The college is an A grade one and IT (Information Technology) was my second choice. The college is so-so imo but i am waiting for the CAP quota (For state students who have appeared for the enterance exam) which was to announce its provisional admission list at 8pm but they announced at 9.30pm that they are gonna announce tomorrow afternoon (Time not mentioned O.o) Lets see what happens … ill post again

Yeah now i know the story of Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince and its been only 21 hours since the release. Dont ask me how but i know who’s gonna do what but i dont wanna ruin it

Yeah ill be away for a few weeks cause im really busy. I have so much that i’d like the wirte down but i hardly get time. This might be the last post i make for a few weeks due to admissions and all
Ok 1st i ate a Chocolate Mousse for the 1st time whilst submitting my AIEEE CAP form (1 B form) and i loved it. I have been driving a lot. And much more ….. but im too busy and tired to do anything as im worried about my admissions and all. Till they are over i am afraid you might see very less of me. I hardly get time to do anything. I sat on the pc after 2 days and its past midnight. Thats how busy i am.

…… get the idea. I got only 144 marks. 34 in physics, 36 in Chemistry and 74 in Maths. I wanna give my paper for re-evaluation but i costs Rs 500 and thats the only thing that is bugging me cause usually it doesnt make much of a difference.
My state rank is 5820 which is extremely dissapointing even though there were 1,80,000 students appearing it remains to be seen if i’ll get into a good college for Electronics and Telecommunications.
The CAP starts on 5th July so i think i’ll have to take admissions in some college for BSc. as the BSc. admissions start on 16th June.
Lets keep our finger’s crossed, pray to God and hope for the best. Most of all in such desissive times i remember the great words “What ever happens, happens for a reason.”

Today is the last day to announce the results of the CET accourding to the High Court order. Only in a local marathi news paper is it mentioned that the results for Engineering CET are on the Directorate of Technical Education’s website and the Medical CET results on the Directorate of Medical Education and Research.
But the sites time out and apparently the results are supposed to come online at the same time ie 10.00 Am but its 9.46 Am atm and the sites aint working. Mabbe they will in 14 mins i dunno.
Ill goto my college to check it out. Lets see what happens and wish me luck

Yup they are … i got 90.33 PCM which is ok … Physics i got 95 (expected 96) Chemistry i got 84 (Expected 92 - 93) and Maths 92 (expected 97 - 98)
So yeah the main dissapointing matter was the Chem papers. Almost everyone i know got lesser than expected marks in chem
Oh well
Oh yeah i’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate my friends Manoj and Priya. Manoj its ok that u missed the Merit list by 2 - 3 marks but well done. And Priya i heard ur marks … All are 95+ Good one … ill be calling u in about 5 mins
Update: I dont think anyone would mind if i said that i called priya up to find that she got 95 in biology, 96 physics, 97 chemistry, 89 in maths, 60 something and 70 something in english and french. Overall percentage is 87. Congrats to u too. (Shez alwayz been a bio student :P)
