It has everything you may need. Seriously. Though im not going to use it all, i will use most of it and so i installed it.

I started the download at 6.05 pm and it ended at 12 midnight exactly :P

Windows OneCare Live

under Online Life, Wassup at 5:15 pm on December 2nd, 2005

Windows OneCare Live is the new service that microsoft is launching. It is currently in its beta stage but you can get your hands on a trial (Beware: Its an online install). So far it looks like a good service. For extended use, you need to buy a subscription ;)

I have included 2 screenshots and i will add anymore if i feel they are necessary ;) Atm it is doing a complete defragmentation of my pc and later it will check for updates. The additional features that your windows xp sp2 already doesnt have its the WOCL antivirus which i still need to run a few tests on ;) Also i think the firewall is an upgraded version (cause sp2 was released some time back and the updates may do only that much. And plus i dont think that you have to pay money just to get an antivirus and a central system to handle all your security. I already have Zone Alarm Security Suite for that  Plus ZASS is only about 23 mb while WOCL is bigger. Then again for an update, WOCL will download only the required files while you need to download the entire 23 some mb installation file for ZASS :dodgy:

All in all we’ll just have to wait and see how good this is. For more info just goto Windows OneCare Live’s official website

In summing up this is a good app for you if you can spend the money and if you have a high end pc. In general this is yet another “memory whore” application brought to you by the friendly programmers at microsoft :cheesy:

Desktropication

I just finished setting up my Desktop Screenshots Gallery a few days back. There was a small design flaw but i recoded it from scratch and it seems to have gone away. So im officially declaring my Desktop ScreenShots Gallery which can be viewed here (Update: Links updated to new desktop screenshots gallery.)

In my honest opinion it looks totally hot. The page and my new desktop. Im now using windows blinds 5 and i must say i have now changed my view about it. It isnt that much of a ram gozzler though i have found a few bugs like when i apply a wallpaper and then restart my pc, the wallpaper goes back to the default one

Anyways, back to the point. Why would anyone want to visit that page regularly ?? Well the answer is very simple. Most of my friends know that i change my desktop very very regularly :P So I even change the skins of the apps and my themes as well.
The point im trying to make is that you can download all these stuff directly from my site :cheesy:

Here i’d like to make a small legal declaration that If any of the content on that page does not belong to me then it belongs to the respective owners. Im just hosting the files cause i dont remember where i got my wallpapers and themes (friends, some random site etc). Most of my themes hence forth may be from windows blinds so if i may only attach the installer then keep in mind that the file is still un-altered so you can still see the authors name before the application of the theme :)

I am not l33t at css and stuff so i was wondering if someone could just help me with a footer box for a small legal note, link back to this site etc. (A)

Validated - Rin

under Sitework at 1:30 am on November 18th, 2005

My new theme has now been validated. It is now valid xhtml and CSS

It took some doing and half and hour of my sleep but i did it. Now the only problem is that i have to wake up at 4 to complete my work (ie submissions) and its 1.29 am already :|

I guess this is enough to prove how much i love my work (in the IT industry) and my site :)

New Look - JaLife

under Announcements, Sitework at 12:43 am on November 18th, 2005

Since i have a new domain name, i thought i should get a new theme too. The older one looked awesome. But it made purely in xhtml and one error in the code would make it crash so i decided to update the look with my name.

I just finished the banner editing and i have uploaded it. There are a few things left but this theme looks awesome. Ill get matt to fix the problem with the double toolbar on the comments page.

Im too drowsy atm to do anything so im off to bed. Tomorow is the sem ending and i have to get 1 journal corrected. (Well we do have college tomorow as well but who’s gonna sit for the lectures :refuck:)

Adblock Plus! Is Back

under Online Life at 1:24 pm on November 15th, 2005

Yeah adblock is an awesome extention for Firefox but since im using firefox beta 2 (deer park) it wasnt totally compatible for me and would screw up 6 out of 10 times.
But they are back with Adblock Plus! and it works like a dream. It has one extra feature i have noticed which is the hide div and hide iframe function as opposed to the previous version having only the hide frames option (which is still there ;))

You can get the latest version from from here and if you havent got your firefox beta 2 (and want to even tho it is a beta) then you can get it from here

And if you are too lazy … here are the most common options
Windows - US English
Windows - GB English

Windows - French
Windows - Spanish (European ??)

People using other languages or other operating systems like Mac and Linux can get it from here
